Melina Moraiti is a graduate of the School of Dentistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. From the early years of her studies she worked alongside distinguished dentists of various specialties in Greece and abroad (USA, Belgium, Spain).
From 2015 to 2019 she completed a three-year postgraduate programme and earned her specialty in Orthodontics (MSc in Advanced Orthodontics & Orthopedics) at the European University of Madrid (Universidad Europea de Madrid). She is an officially certified Invisalign doctor (Invisalign DIAMOND provider) and holds a Master in Invisible Orthodontics (Invisalign® System), taught by Dr. Arturo Vela. She is also trained and certified in fixed lingual braces using the digital Incognito method. In 2015 she completed further training in Germany and was certified in invisible orthodontics with “Clear Aligner” transparent aligners.
She has received awards for her research, presented work at international conferences and published articles in scientific journals.
In recent years she has been a Mentor at Smart Aligners Services (SAS), an international training organisation specialising in aligner orthodontics. Her role is to train colleagues and share her knowledge, drawn from her daily clinical experience with complex orthodontic cases, by developing and proposing modern treatment protocols.
Since 2019 she has organised and staffed Athens Dental Care according to international orthodontic practice protocols, and she practises orthodontics at our clinic. She also brings her specialised knowledge and overall experience to the organisation of a modern dental clinic.
She is an active member of major non-governmental organisations, including “Doctors of the World”, “ActionAid” and the “Symplefsi” group, volunteering her free time to provide free dental care to socially excluded people.
