Our modern equipment delivers sharper digital X-rays with lower radiation exposure, thanks to advanced low-dose imaging technology.

At Athens Dental Care, amalgam fillings are removed at a dedicated dental unit fitted with an “amalgam separator” before the drain — a special filter that captures the removed amalgam so it never enters the sewage system and, in turn, contaminates the water table.

We sort all recyclable, non-contaminated materials and consumables into dedicated recycling bins. Wherever possible we also swap the materials we use for recyclable alternatives, such as the single-use cups or the toothbrushes we give our patients.

We have chosen an electricity provider that generates power from a hydroelectric plant, and we have replaced the lighting throughout our space with energy-saving bulbs.

Work surfaces are cleaned with antiseptics and disinfectants that meet current scientific standards. For the rest of the daily cleaning of the clinics and offices we use biodegradable cleaning products dissolved in water — which we then reuse to water our plants!

We try to guide every small action of ours, personal and professional, by criteria that — without compromising the quality of our service in the slightest — place as little burden on the environment as possible. We avoid buying far-travelled products that have devoured large amounts of energy just to reach us, we favour Greek products for obvious reasons, we use natural essential oils instead of chemical air fresheners, rechargeable batteries, refillable lighters and so on. Our daily practices are continually enriched by the information we make a point of keeping up with, on protecting the environment and adopting habits that shrink our energy footprint.
