Your teeth aren't as white as you'd like?

Coffee, wine, smoking or simply time leave their mark. You know you want to change it, but you don't know if it's worth it, if it's safe or what result to expect? The truth is simple: professional whitening is nothing like over-the-counter products. At Athens Dental Care we offer you controlled, fast effectiveness.

THE SOLUTION

With the BEYOND system we offer you professional whitening, with proven results.

At Athens Dental Care we use the BEYOND system for professional in-office whitening, as well as personalised at-home whitening with custom trays. The right method is chosen after assessing the colour of your teeth, your oral health and any possible sensitivity.

The goal is not an unnaturally white result, but a brighter, cleaner and more natural smile that suits your features.

In-office whitening (BEYOND)

In a single 60-minute session, the whitening agent is applied with light-activation technology. Result: up to 5 shades whiter teeth, without affecting the enamel.

At-home whitening (Home Whitening)

Custom trays made at the office + whitening agent for home use. Ideal for those who prefer a more gradual process or as maintenance after BEYOND.

WHO IT'S FOR

Is whitening right for you?

Whitening is suitable when we want to improve the colour of natural teeth that have darkened or yellowed over time. It does not, however, change the colour of veneers, crowns, caps or fillings, so a proper assessment is needed before treatment begins.

In some cases — such as intense sensitivity, decay, gum problems or very deep internal discolouration — another treatment or a different aesthetic solution may be needed first.

When natural teeth have yellowed or look dull.

When you want a brighter smile without changing the shape of your teeth.

When there are no active decay or inflammation issues.

When there is a realistic expectation of a natural, not exaggerated, result.

BEFORE TREATMENT

What you should know before whitening

Whitening is safe when it's done with the right indication, professional materials and dental guidance. Even so, every mouth is different. That's why, before treatment, we check the health of your teeth and gums, any sensitivity, and any restorations that could affect the final result.

Whitening works on natural teeth.

Veneers, crowns and fillings don't change colour with whitening.

Temporary sensitivity may occur.

The result is affected by coffee, tea, wine, smoking and oral hygiene.

Excessive or uncontrolled use of whitening products can irritate teeth and gums.

WHY ATHENS DENTAL CARE

Whitening isn't the same for every smile.

At Athens Dental Care we don't treat whitening as a one-size-fits-all procedure. Before we begin, we assess the colour of your teeth, your oral health, sensitivity and any existing restorations, so we can choose the method that best suits your case.

Our goal is a result that is bright, natural and safe — without exaggeration and without overlooking the health of your teeth and gums.

Assessment before treatment

We examine teeth, gums and restorations before recommending whitening.

Two whitening options

Depending on your needs, we can recommend in-office or at-home whitening.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about teeth whitening

Approximately 2–3 years, depending on dietary habits. Teeth remain whiter than before, even if the result gradually fades.

It is painless. Temporary sensitivity may occur during or immediately after but subsides on its own within 24-48 hours.

The BEYOND system, when applied by a specialized dentist, does not affect the enamel.

The cost depends on the method (in-office or at-home) and your case. At the free first visit you receive a clear proposal and price.

With BEYOND: one 60-minute session. With home whitening: 2 weeks of home use with weekly check-ups.

No. Whitening is contraindicated during pregnancy. However, it can be done after delivery.

The frequency depends on the initial colour, your habits and the sensitivity of your teeth. Whitening products should not be used excessively or without supervision, as this can cause sensitivity or gum irritation.

After whitening it's best to limit, for a while, foods and drinks with strong pigments such as coffee, tea, red wine and dark sauces. Good oral hygiene and regular cleanings also help maintain the result.

In some cases yes, but an assessment is needed first. If there is intense sensitivity, the dentist may suggest a gentler plan, preparation before whitening or an alternative approach.

When done correctly and under dental guidance, whitening is designed to be safe for the teeth. However, uncontrolled or excessive use of whitening products can cause sensitivity, gum irritation or enamel damage.

The cost depends on the method chosen — in-office whitening, at-home whitening or a combination of the two. After the assessment, the dentist can recommend the right plan and inform you of the cost.
